Frequently Asked Questions
What is the start time to the event?
Kids Fun Obstacle Course: 9:00-9:30
Hardest Mile Start Time: 9:45
Hardest Mile End Time: 10:45
How does it work?
All participants start at the same time. After you complete each lap, we will mark how many laps you have completed.
You will have one hour to get as far as you can with the goal of getting to the one mile distance (4 laps around the track). It’s not a race for the fastest time, it is about finishing.
Will you be tracking our time?
We will not be tracking time because the goal is to finish within an hour. There will be one main timer for all participants.
If participants are interested in knowing their specific finish time, it is recommended that they bring their own timer.
Do I need to do the movements in the order they are instructed?
Maine’s Hardest Mile is an endurance experience using a different movement for each lap within a one hour time limit. The movements must be done in the order they are recommended to avoid injury.

What should I bring?
In general, prepare as if you were going to a workout class or running in a race. Things such as water bottles, ID and/or invoice of purchase, sunglasses or hat, snack or gels. Whatever helps you feel most comfortable while performing the hard movements.
